Unintended Convergences - Ernesto de Martino and Aby Warburg. Academic celebration in honour of Prof. Martin Warnke's 80th birthday
On the occasion of the academic celebration in honour of Martin Warnke’s 80th birthday, renowned Italian historian and eminent figure of Cultural Studies Carlo Ginzburg gave the lecture Unintended Convergences. Ernesto de Martino and Aby Warburg. Carlo Ginzburg was awarded the Aby-Warburg-prize of the city of Hamburg in 1992 and in 1996 held the first Warburg Professorship at the Warburg-Haus Hamburg. The welcoming speech was given by the Senator for Culture and Media of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Dr. Carsten Brosda.
